White Tees White Belts EP in stores
early FebruaryEmynd and Bo Bliz play and produce tracks they know people can wile out to from head bussin' anthems, reggae blends, club bangers, gangsta rap, Baltimore club, electro, Miami bass and all the way to 80's music. This music comes together (along with DAN THE MOTHERFUCKING SWEDE) at their monthly party, "White Tees and White Belts" which has been going steady for the last two years.
The trio moved the party to a bigger venue in 2006 and watched as attendance doubled that night. This is a party where the vibe is not trying to floss and impress others but where people have come together, drink irresponsibly and have a good time. Held on the first Friday of every month at the Red Warehouse in Northern Liberties, this has become the party that people look forward to all month long in Philadelphia. What's even more impressive is that this party's reputation has been built on word of mouth with the buzz reaching kids all the way from Boston to DC, who make the trip once a month to experience White Tees and White Belts.
Philly roots run deep and we at Flamin Hotz had to tap the local heroes to give the people what they want. We asked Emynd and Bo Bliz to open up their bag of special remixes and refixs for a proper vinyl release. What we got back blew our minds and it took several weeks to go through the tracks and to make a final decision. In the end we picked songs that we felt represented Emynd and Bo Bliz's style of DJing and would give you a taste of the music you would hear at a White Tees White Belts party.
